Hubsch is designed around the principle of engineered clarity. Each stroke follows the logic of a chisel-tipped marker, producing a confident rhythm that remains legible at reduced sizes. Its geometry is informed by architectural form — strong verticals, controlled diagonals, and precise alignment that creates a cohesive reading experience. Whether used for captions, interface labels, or small-scale editorial work, Hubsch maintains its structure and authority without losing subtlety or balance. Behind its bold surface lies a carefully measured system of proportions that adapts seamlessly across weights and scales. The interaction between thick and thin strokes gives Hubsch a tactile presence while preserving optical harmony in text. Designed for contemporary environments, it performs with the same discipline on screens, signage, and printed matter. Even in compact settings, its balance of structure and movement ensures clarity and distinctive character.

Hubsch
Information

Hubsch is an experimental sans-serif that follows the drawing principles of a chisel-tipped marker pen where sharp angles meet flowing curves in a balance between thick and thin strokes. The result is a distinctive, brutalist typeface that copes well in both small and large-scale situations such as video games, mobile applications, architecture, sports venues, and arenas.

The font includes seven weights with obliques and over 600 characters per style. OpenType features consist of ten number variations, including inferiors, superiors, fractions, lining, tabular, oldstyle, and case-sensitive. It also has ten stylistic sets, standard ligatures, slashed zero, and language support covering Western, Southern, and Central Europe.
